Morphing between MTD2-8− to MTD2-8+ structures. The surface rendering of MTD2-8 averaged map obtained from cryo-ET and subtomogram averaging is morphed into the surface rendering of MTD2-8+ averaged map using UCSF Chimera morphing function to illustrate the general differences between the proximal and central/distal regions, as shown in Fig. 3. The surface rendering is colored as described in Materials and methods.
