CPH inhibit CD2-induced mRNA expression of IL-2, tumor necrosis factor (TNF) a , TNF-b , IL-4, IL-13, IL-3, and granulocyte/macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF). PBT were incubated with peptides M/W (black bars) or without peptides (white and gray bars). Cells were then stimulated via CD2 (gray and black bars) for 4 h or left unstimulated (white bars). RNA was purified, and quantitative RT-PCR was performed. Normalized mRNA levels of stimulated cells without peptide treatment were taken as 1. Data are means ± SE of four different blood donors. Peptide effects were similar after 2 h of CD2 stimulation (not shown).
