Fig. 11. Examination of the effect of varying amount of duplicate spotted PCR products on an array on hybridization efficiency. To investigate whether the difference in loading of the PCR products influences the hybridization efficiency between probe and complex cDNAs (targets), ratios of the tag intensities (i.e., amount of spotted DNA) between duplicates in a filter where plotted against ratios of the intensities of corresponding duplicate spots from a complex target hybridization using the same filter. Two examples are shown: (a) relationship of the ratio of duplicate spotted DNA amount (x axis) with the ratio of corresponding duplicate spot intensities from hybridization of a target (y axis) to a nylon filter (83_1) and (b) a polypropylene filter (91_8).
