- Online supplement 1 (.mov, 2.8 MB) - 3D reconstitution of ETs, cells and bacteria. Bacteria entrapped in ETs of hemocytes challenged for 1 h with V. splendidus LGP32 were observed by confocal microscopy after staining of DNA with DAPI (blue) and cellular membranes with WGA-TRITC (red). The movie is a 3D reconstitution of ETs, cells and bacteria, made from 125 confocal sections. ETs stained with DAPI were observed in areas with a high bacterial density and bacteria (yellow arrowheads) were found entrapped in ETs.
