ACS1, encoding acetyl-CoA synthetase, converts the acetate generated by aldehyde dehydrogenase to acetyl-CoA. POT1 (3-ketoacyl-CoA thiolase), POX1 (acyl-CoA oxidase), FAA2 (acyl-CoA synthetase), FOX2 (multifunctional), ECI1 (D³,D²-enoyl-CoA isomerase), and DCI1 (D^3,5,D^2,4-dienoyl-CoA isomerase) all participate in the b-oxidation of fatty acids to acetyl-CoA.
