Fig. 7. Sample experiment to detect T cells secreting IFN-gand IL-10. Immature DCs (iDCs) generated from HIV-1-infected patients were treated or not with 1 m M AZT (3’-azido-3’-deoxythymidine) and infected with HIV-1 for 4 days or pulsed at day 3 with 2 mM gag peptides overnight. Other DCs were matured (m) 48 h after infection (Right). DCs were added to autologous T cells and IFN-gand IL-10 release assessed by enzyme-linked immunospot (ELISPOT) assay.
