The L2/3A mutation does not affect nuclear localization of PGC-1. HeLa cells were transfected with expression vectors for HA/PGC-1 (1 g) or Gal4 PGC-1/HA (500 ng). After 48 h cells were fixed and the proteins were detected by using an antibody against the HA epitope as described (1). Shown are DIC (Left) and fluorescence (Right) acquisitions of the same field.
