README

All data were made available as part of the lake sentinel project managed by the FRQNT funded Groupe de recherche interuniversitaire en limnologie et en environnement aquatique 
(GRIL; www.GRIL-Limnologie.ca). All data are from lake Croche deepest site (45°59’34’’N, 74°00’34W’’). For more info on the lake: sbl.umontreal.ca

Definition of variables
strata: place in water column, top refers to either epilimnion (spring-summer), mixed layer (in fall) or under-ice (winter)and bottom to either metalimnion (spring-summer-fall) or hypolimnion (winter)
date: yyyy-mm-dd
depth_water_m : depth of nutrient and chla sample in meter
depth_gas_m: depth of gas sample in meter
nh4_ugL: ammonium concentration in µgN/L
no3no2_ugL: nitrate + nitrite concentration in µgN/L
no3no2_under_ldm: indicate if no3no2_ugL measured is below minimum detection limit (LDM), when no3no2_under_ldm == TRUE then no3no2_ugL == LDM/2
chla_ugL: chlorophyll a concentration in µg/L 
chla_std: standard deviation on 3 chla field replicates (in µg/L)
delta_N2O_ppm: deviation of nitrous oxide from air in part per million
delta_N2O_std: standard deviation of delta N2O from 3 analytical replicates (in ppm)
