Autosomes were ranked by size and grouped as indicated. The mean total axis lengths for each group of autosomes is shown. Four animals were analysed for each genotype and a total of 50 and 55 nuclei analysed for Tex19.1^+/± and Tex19.1^-/- respectively. Student’s t-test was used to test for statistical significance between genotypes (* indicates p < 0.05, ** indicates p < 0.01.)
