Table 1. Axis Lengths of Groups of Size-Ranked Autosomes in MLH1-Positive Autosomally Synapsed Pachytene Nuclei.

Autosomes were ranked by size and grouped as indicated. The mean total axis lengths for each group of autosomes is shown. Four animals were analysed for each genotype and a total of 50 and 55 nuclei analysed for Tex19.1+/± and Tex19.1-/- respectively. Student’s t-test was used to test for statistical significance between genotypes (* indicates p < 0.05, ** indicates p < 0.01.)
