Spearman correlations between variance-stabilised relative OTU abundance and metabolite ions. Only correlations ≥0.5 are presented (positive correlations: blue; negative correlations: red). OTUs that are Bx-stimulated (enriched in the WT relative to the bx mutants) form one cluster (1). Bx-repressed OTUs (were enriched in bx mutants relative to WT) form 3 clusters (2-4). Pie charts show the distribution of putative metabolites between various metabolite pathways/classes for each cluster. The top 8 correlations from each cluster are shown in Fig. S13.
