Results for the MINI element and the pressure-projection stabilization are compared to classical choices of elements, i.e., ℚ1 – ℙ0 hexahedral elements, ℙ1 – ℙ0 tetrahedral elements, and Taylor–Hood (ℙ2 – ℙ1) tetrahedral elements. For case (b) the choice of ℚ1 – ℙ0 and ℙ1 – ℙ0 elements did not give reasonable results and were thus omitted.
