Present day distributions of country-level relative frequencies of Mycobacterium tuberculosis lineages 1-6. Spoligotypes from the SITVIT WEB database (n = 42,358) were assigned to lineages 1-6. Countries are colored from white to dark-red based on the percentage of isolates from the country belonging to each lineage. Unsampled countries and those with less than 10 isolates in the database are shown in grey. Lineage 7 (not pictured) is found exclusively in Ethiopia.
