Aβ-induced interruption of β-catenin signaling and its effect on proneural gene expression. The schematic presentation shows that Aβ elevates GSK-3β, which in turn promotes the phosphorylation and degradation of β-catenin. Reduced β-catenin signaling down-regulates the expression of proneural genes.
