Age is expressed in years. Each group was divided into seven subgroups of male subjects and seven subgroups of female subjects. This partition allowed us to match each carrier subgroup with a nonempty wild-type subgroup of the same gender and age. M, Male; F, female. After the removal of the outliers:

a

35 (4) in the CD test;

b

46.7 (3) in the WD test;

c

58.2 (4) in the CD test.
