How long can we use N95 respirators? | N95 respirators are manufactured as single use. In situations where PPE supplies are running low, you can consider contingency and crisis capacities for respirators. This includes limited re-use. Do we need to clean surfaces, such as floors, before disinfecting with hypochlorite? | Yes, cleaning should be conducted prior to disinfection to remove organic material which may reduce the effectiveness of hypochlorite | |
Can you mix detergent with bleach? | No. Depending on the type of chemicals in the detergent, this can create a toxic product. It might also interfere with the efficacy of the chlorine. |
