Virtual-heart technology for guiding ventricular tachycardia ablation. Patient-specific computational models reconstructed from clinical images. Electrophysiological properties are assigned to both non-diseased and diseased tissue. From these models, ventricular tachycardia is simulated and corresponding ablation targets that terminate re-entry are determined. These ablation targets can then be incorporated into electroanatomic mapping systems where they can be used to guide VT ablation therapy. Reproduced with permission from Prakosa et al., Nat. Biomed.
