(A) SOD activity was increased in low- or high-dose TMZ-treated mice compared to db/db mice. (B) MnSOD and Cu/ZnSOD in myocardial homogenates from each group were analyzed by Western blotting; the data suggest that both low- and high-dose treatment with TMZ increased the expression of MnSOD and Cu/ZnSOD. Values represent the mean±SEM relative densitometric intensity normalized to actin and expressed as % control ±SEM from three experiments. bP<0.05 compared to the C57 group; eP<0.05 compared to the db/db group.
