Small tracer injection into a thick stripe. This injection yielded a deposit of 500 × 700 μm, less than half the size of the injection in Figure 1b. Inset shows the injection before silver intensification. The injection filled only part of the thick stripe and resulted in only partial filling of the interpatches in V1 (see area in rectangle from a more superficial section photographed at higher magnification in Fig. 5).
