(A) Representative immunoblot and quantitative analysis of α-synuclein protein levels. α-synuclein protein was determined in the total lysates of SN tissues of rats injected with vehicle or PQ by immunoblot analysis. β-actin was used as an internal control. PQ significantly increased α-synuclein protein levels, which were quantified using Quantity One software and normalized against β-actin. (B and C) Representative photomicrographs of α-synuclein (B) and 4HNE (C) immunostaining in the SN of rats treated with vehicle or PQ. Data are shown as the mean ± SEM.
