Randomized controlled trials (RCT) with large numbers of mothers and neonates (n – shown in parentheses for each study in a red box) do not support amnioinfusion or oropharyngeal suction following delivery of the head or tracheal suction in the vigorous newborns delivered through meconium-stained amniotic fluid (MSAF).
