ELISA assays validated GNA-epitope expression by native viral antigens derived from HIV-1, SARS-CoV, or HCMV. (A,B) HIV-1-specific ELISA with Bal-gp120-Man9 (A) or Bal-gp120 (B) coated at 1.0 μg/mL; (C) SARS-CoV-specific ELISA, which was optimized for preserving native viral antigens; (D) HCMV-specific ELISA with purified virus at 1.0 μg/mL; and (E) Man9-KLH conjugate was applied at 10.0 μg/mL for coating. ELISA results were presented without background subtraction in AC or with background subtraction in D and E. Lectins were applied at the concentrations (μg/mL) as specified. The ELISA data shown here are representative results of multiple assays.
