In the mice injected with RGD-HFn-Fe3O4 (RGD+ group, n = 10 total; 6 AAA [red filled circles] and 4 control [red open circles] mice), the % SI loss at 48 hours was positively and strongly correlated with aortic diameter on ultrasound (A; r=0.89, p=0.0005) and aortic area on MRI (B; r=0.89, p=0.0006). In the mice injected with HFn-Fe3O4 (RGD group, n = 10 total; 6 AAA [blue filled squares] and 4 control [blue open squares] mice), the % SI loss at 48 hours was more moderately correlated with aortic diameter (A; r=0.63, p=0.05) and area (B; r=0.71, p=0.02).
