Figure 10

Fluorescence micrographs of unstained cryostat sections of heart ventricular muscle (A) and liver (B) from an affected dog that had been treated with ICV TPP1 gene therapy and was euthanized at 18 months of age and of heart ventricular muscle (C) and liver (D) from a healthy 2 year old long haired Dachshund that was heterozygous for the TPP1 mutant allele. The yellow-emitting autofluorescent inclusions are characteristic of CLN2 disease. A small number of punctate inclusions were present in the livers of the normal dogs and probably represent the normal age pigment lipofuscin.
