(A) The Overview of classification procedure. We used combined information from two studies (1, 2) to classify bladder tumors into four subtypes: Luminal, p53-like, Basal and Class IV. First, we classified samples into four groups based on the subtype signatures from TCGA (2) (Step1). Then, the tumors classified as class I and class II were further divided into Luminal and p53-like subtype based on p53-like signatures (1) (Step 2). (B) The expression levels for selected signature genes in subtypes of bladder cancer samples in TCGA.
