Author Correction to: The first nationwide implementation of pharmaceutical care practices through a continuing professional development approach for community pharmacists

In the published article “Continuous” is corrected as “Continuing” in the article title, under the headings “keywords”, “Background” and in the abstract section, under “Aim”.

In the author group, “Arijana Mestrovic and Michael Rouse” are added as 7th and 8th authors.

In the abstract section, under Implementation, “Academic” is corrected as “Consultants and academic.

Affiliations 4 and 5 are added as “PharmaExpert, Zagreb, Croatia” and “Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education, Chicago, United States of America”.

In the Development section, the sentence “The TPA developed and funded… TPA decided to establish such a project.” is corrected as “With the assistance of consultants, the developed and funded a project named “Rehber Eczanem (RE) [i.e.,. My Guiding Pharmacy]”. The consultants were responsible for development or adaptation and use of concepts, methodology, materials, tools, and resources, as well as oversight of implementation in the early stages of the pilot and program [13]. In the section “Training”, “The academic advisors” and “Academic staff” are corrected as “The consultants and academic staff”.

In the section “Continuing professional development approach”, the sentence “… the pharmacists evaluated their professional development using their CPD portfolios; plan: the pharmacists assessed their competencies using the self-assessment tools; learn: the pharmacists learned…” is corrected as “… the pharmacists evaluated their professional development and assessed their competencies using the self-assessment tools in their CPD portfolios; plan: the pharmacists developed their own learning plan and objectives; learn: the pharmacists learned…”.

In the section “Phase 1”, the sentence “Community pharmacists received training for pharmaceutical care, asthma/COPD, diabetes and hypertension modules from their peer trainers. Moreover, there were no prerequisites for the modules. It was not mandatory for pharmacists to register for all modules.” is corrected as “Community pharmacists received training in the CPD approach and for pharmaceutical care, asthma/COPD, diabetes and hypertension modules from their peer trainers. Moreover, there were no other prerequisites for the modules. It was not mandatory for pharmacists to register for all clinical modules.

The word “reliver” is corrected as “reliever” in all occurrences.

In the section “Conclusion”, the sentence “… diabetes and hypertension through the provision of pharmaceutical care services.” is corrected as “… diabetes and hypertension by combining a CPD approach to learning and the provision of pharmaceutical care services.”
