Following 26 years as a member of the Editorial Committee of the CVMA including 24 years as Editor of the Canadian Journal of Veterinary Research (CJVR), Dr. Eva Nagy is retiring in April. Every manuscript sent to the CJVR has been meticulously reviewed by Eva before sending it out to the Associate or Assistant Editors for full formal review. By developing a broad network of scientists in various disciplines relating to veterinary research, Dr. Nagy has ensured that manuscripts are thoroughly and rigorously reviewed before being accepted for publication in the CJVR.
Dr. Nagy is an internationally recognized avian virologist and was awarded Professor Emerita status by the University of Guelph in 2020. Dr. Nagy has been deeply committed to the CVMA and passionate in producing a well-respected scientific journal that reflects well on our profession. The CVMA has been extremely fortunate to have had the long-lasting commitment that Eva has shown to her profession and to her ongoing passion to further veterinary research and research publications in Canada.
Eva is a warm and caring individual who will be greatly missed by all members of the Editorial Committee. We wish Eva and her husband, Peter, all the best for a very happy, long, and well-deserved retirement.
