Correction to: Acta Pharmacologica Sinica, 10.1038/s41401-021-00677-6, published online 25 May 2021

The authors apologized for two mistakes in the figures: (1) in Fig. 4c, the representative traces of mouse locomotion appeared incorrectly; (2) in Fig. 8, the “*” of fig. 8d was leaked, and the statistical information of Fig. 8c, d were provided incorrectly. These errors were made completely by accident.

The conclusion of the orginal article or the context of the article were not affected. The correct figure panels of Fig. 4c and 8c, d are presented below. The authors apologize for any inconvenience caused to the journal and readers.

c, d Microinjection of norBNI in the amygdala blocked anxiety-like behavior measured by light-dark transition test after chronic social defeat stress illustrated by the time spent in the light compartment (c, n = 9–10). F (1, 33) =1.584, P = 0.217 (factor of social defeat stress treatment), F(1, 33) = 2.696, P = 0.1101 (factor of amygdala norBNI treatment), F(1,33) = 9.262, P = 0.0046 (interaction between factors), two-way ANOVA, *P<0.05 compared with the control group and chronic social defeat stress treated vehicle group, Bonferroni’s post hoc test.
