Tributes to Lewis Dexter

To the Editor:

I enjoyed reading Madhuri Mukhopadhyay's “A Biographical Sketch of Lewis Dexter” in the Texas Heart Institute Journal (28:133-8). Dr. Dexter was truly an amazing person and, as Ms Mukhopadhyay indicated, a dedicated scientist, a family man, and a true mentor to many. She did a nice job of capturing some of the essence of this pioneer in cardiology.
