Effect of cellular lipid accumulation on the replication of SARS-CoV-2 Wuhan type or Delta. Calu-3 cells were incubated with 0.6 mM oleate for 5 h prior to infection with the SARS-CoV-2 Wuhan type or the VoC Delta (MOI of 2 × 10⁻² for 1 h). Cell culture supernatants were harvested three days post infection. The virions were purified and analyzed by qRT-PCR. Bars show mean values of three independent experiments ± SEM (*: p < 0.05).
