It is with great pleasure that we announce the appointment of Dr. Hye-Jeong Lee as the new editor of the thoracic imaging section of the Korean Journal of Radiology (KJR), after her predecessor, Dr. Sang Min Lee. We would like to take this opportunity to express our profound gratitude for Dr. Lee’s excellent service as the section editor from January, 2021 to May, 2023.
Dr. Hye-Jeong Lee is a highly accomplished radiologist who received her medical degree from the Pusan University, College of Medicine in 2001. She completed her residency at the Department of Radiology at the Severance Hospital, Yonsei University and went on to receive her fellowship in thoracic and cardiovascular imaging before becoming a faculty member of the Department of Radiology at the same hospital in 2010. Dr. Lee assumed the position of professor in March, 2023, based on her prolific research in thoracic and cardiovascular imaging.
Despite the difficulties associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Lee has managed to participate in 40 SCI(E) scientific publications in the last 5 years, won more than 10 research grants, and contributed two chapters to radiology textbooks.
Please join us in welcoming Dr. Hye-Jeong Lee to her new role as the thoracic imaging section editor of KJR, and we look forward to her future contributions to the journal.
