The authors regret there was an error in the protocol: the Kessler 6 (Kessler et al., 2002) was listed in the measures by mistake. The Kessler 6 was not included in the student survey nor was it intended to be included, and it should not have been listed in the trial protocol. The internalising problems outcomes were measured in line with the aims listed in the study; that is, anxiety and depressive symptoms, measured using the ‘Generalised Anxiety Disorder 7-item scale’ (GAD-7) (Spitzer et al., 2006) and ‘Patient Health Questionnaire, modified for adolescents (PHQ-A) (Johnson et al., 2002), respectively.

Further, the study timelines were heavily impacted by COVID-19, primarily due to the repeated lockdowns and impact on schools, resulting in the decision by the study authors to remove the 12-month follow-up survey. The outcomes were measured at post-intervention only (approximately 6 months post-baseline).

These changes have been updated on the registered protocol: TRN12620000790943.

The authors would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
