We are very thankful to Drs. Garg and Chatterjee for showing their interest in our article.1 Regarding their suggestion of data munging, it is to be noted that NCVBDC collects, cleans, transforms and compiles the malaria data. Therefore, data munging is not applicable in our case and was not discussed in the manuscript. Regarding the second suggestion of data availability, please note that the backend dataset of NIMR-MDB belongs to the National Center for Vector Borne Diseases Control (NCVBDC) under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India. Its ownership is not with NIMR and hence we cannot make it public. NCVBDC is in the process of collecting and reporting the malaria data in a real-time manner as we understand.2,3 Indeed, via the development of this dashboard, we have taken a step toward data sharing wherever stakeholders allow access. Regarding the third suggestion about integrating other data sets into NIMR-MDB, we had already proposed this in our manuscript and previous vision paper.4 We indeed plan to incorporate information such as 1) environmental data, (3) insecticide resistance data, (4) vector bionomics data, (5) malnutrition data, (6) hemoglobinopathies, (7) and drug resistance data into NIMR-MDB.
