Artist statement

This piece is a visual tribute to the collaborative spirit and unity that drive forward medical practice and discovery. In this top-down view of a healthcare team, team members are wearing different colors of scrubs. Each figure represents an integral part of the team, contributing their unique skills and perspectives in the pursuit of a common goal. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Importantly, my hope is that we extend this circle of collaboration to include our patients. Their input, perspectives, and goals are essential components in dictating the direction of their care.

“Celebrating Synergy” was created by drafting in Affinity Designer 2 (Serif), iteration through the artificial intelligence software Midjourney (Model V5) with customized parameters, and post-processing in Affinity Designer 2.
