Concerns were raised about the similarities between various panels from Figs. 2 and 3 and panels from an earlier paper published by the authors in the Journal of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analysis 180 (2020) 113050 https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jpba.2019.113050.

The journal requested the authors to provide an explanation regarding these similarities. The authors did not provide a satisfactory explanation in response to these concerns. The Editor-in-Chief assessed this case and decided to retract the article.
