Direct lipid binding by Arc. Purified Arc (4 μM) was incubated with liposomes made either from a brain lipid mixture²² (엯) or from PC (●) for 15 min at 25 °C in 20 mM Hepes (pH 7.4) and 100 mM NaCl. Each data point represents the result of a separate experiment (three experiments for brain lipid mixture and six experiments for PC). The inset shows the molecular weight standards (lane 1) and a CB-stained gel of representative Arc preparation used for binding analysis (lane 2).
