Percentage frequency of T2DM according to total cholesterol (TC) levels among participants in different centers. Multiple logistic regression analysis was adopted for investigating the contribution of TC levels to prevalence of T2DM. Odds ratios (ORs) for different levels compared to the highest (≥240) were adjusted for age, sex, MoCA, IADL, triglyceride, cerebrovascular diseases, hypertension, dyslipidemia, coronary artery diseases, congestive heart failure, atherosclerosis, smoking, exercise, antihypertensives, lipid-lowering drugs, antiplatelets, and anticoagulants. ns: nonsignificance, p > 0.05.
