Dear Editor,
The patient who presented with the complaint of floaters did not have any signs of intravitreal hemorrhage. We think that the patient had a complaint of floaters due to posterior vitreous detachment (PVD) and there was no obvious VH. We would like to state that the patient was recently diagnosed with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), but he did not use anticoagulant therapy, which is routinely started in our country. We think that the procagulation is triggered in this patient.
Also, we have confirmed that increased D-dimer, C-reactive protein (CRP), and erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) values was associated with COVID-19 from department of infectious disease.[1] Infectious diseases and internal medicine ruled out the procoagulative conditions and connective tissue disorders you mentioned, and decided on the diagnosis of COVID-19 and started anticoagulative treatment. Internal medicine and infectious diseases stated that they excluded procagulative disorders except COVID-19.
