* The membrane leak conductance in the spine is small since the spine membrane resistance is so high that is considered infinite (>106MΩ) (Koch and Zador, 1993). The current thus mostly leaks axially through the neck cytoplasm. The dendrite leak conductance is also small in order to control the distance-dependent attenuation by the axial resistance term gBaPadapt in Equation 4 and Equation 5. The table provides the parameters associated with these equations which were adjusted (see comparison with Reference value) to fit the dynamics seen in Golding et al., 2001 and Buchanan and Mellor, 2007 experiments as in Figure 9a and b.
