The article titled “Preferred practice patterns and review on rosacea” published in Indian Journal of Ophthalmology, on pages 1382-1390, Volume 71, Issue 4, 2023,[1] is being retracted because of having number of sections of unattributed content, with high rate of verbatim similarity from another article titled “Ocular manifestations of rosacea: A clinical review.” published in Clinical & Experimental Ophthalmology, on pages 104-117, Volume 49, Issue 2, 2021.[2]
Plagiarism, fabrication, duplication, unethical or redundant publication violates the editorial policy of Indian Journal of Ophthalmology, which follows best practice guidelines given by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) and Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) mentioned on the Information for Authors and as codified in the signed statements made by the authors regarding the copyright of their work.
This article has been retracted on request of the Editor-in-Chief and Editorial board of the journal.
