This is a correction to: Sandra Miao Shi, MD and others, Change in a Claims-Based Frailty Index, Mortality, and Health Care Costs in Medicare Beneficiaries, The Journals of Gerontology: Series A, Volume 78, Issue 7, July 2023, Pages 1198–1203, https://doi.org/10.1093/gerona/glad010
The following changes have been made to the article. In Abstract, Methods, second sentence should read: “We estimated CFI (Range: 0-1: nonfrail (<0.25), mildly frail (0.25–0.24), moderately-to-severely frail (≥0.35)[…]” instead of: “We estimated CFI (range: 0–1; nonfrail [<0.20], mildly frail [0.20–0.29], moderately-to-severely frail [≥0.35])[…].
In the legend to Figure 1, the second sentence should read: “Baseline frailty category was defined as nonfrail (CFI<0.25), mildly frail (CFI 0.25–0.24), and moderately-to-severely frail (CFI≥0.35).” instead of: “Baseline frailty category was defined as nonfrail if CFI <0.20, mildly frail if CFI 0.20–0.29, and moderate-to-severely frail if CFI ≥0.30.”
In the Notes to Table 2, the first sentence should read: “Baseline frailty category was defined as nonfrail (CFI<0.25), mildly frail (CFI 0.25–0.24), and moderately-to-severely frail (CFI≥0.35).” instead of: “Baseline frailty category was defined as nonfrail if CFI <0.20, mildly frail if CFI 0.20–0.29, and moderate-to-severely frail if CFI ≥0.30.”
In the legend to Figure 2, the second sentence should read: “Baseline frailty category was defined as nonfrail (CFI<0.25), mildly frail (CFI 0.25–0.24), and moderately-to-severely frail (CFI≥0.35).” instead of: “Baseline frailty category was defined as nonfrail if CFI <0.20, mildly frail if CFI 0.20–0.29, and moderate-to-severely frail if CFI ≥0.30.”
In Figure 3, the second sentence should read: “Baseline frailty category was defined as nonfrail (CFI<0.25), mildly frail (CFI 0.25–0.24), and moderately-to-severely frail (CFI≥0.35).” instead of “Baseline frailty category was defined as nonfrail if CFI <0.20, mildly frail if CFI 0.20–0.29, and moderate-to-severely frail if CFI ≥0.30.”
These emendations have been made in the article.
