Phylogenetic tree based on the neighbor-joining analysis of the ITS sequences for Penicillium species classified in the Charlesia section. Penicillium eremophilum as the most related to the Charlesia section was included as an outgroup. Bootstrap analysis was performed with 1000 replications with values of at least 50% indicated at the nodes. The bar indicates the number of substitutions per position. Each branch indicates taxon name, strain name and GenBank accession number sequentially. (T) indicates the type strain of the species. The isolate in this study is marked as (Inline graphic).
