The authors contacted the editors after some inaccuracies were identified in the structural coordinates deposited in the PDB. Based on the exchanges between authors and editors, the authors are replacing the PDB model (7PFO) with an updated version and correcting the following figure.

Author Statement

In the PDB file (PDB:7PFO) that accompanies this manuscript, we have identified several inaccuracies, specifically related to the region of the model comprising the POLE1 subunit of DNA polymerase epsilon and a small region of MCM2. Briefly, the sequence register for a region of POLE1 was shifted during model refinement, a region of the POLE1 homology model used for modelling was adjusted inaccurately, and the register of a helix in MCM2 approaching the MCM2 winged‐helix domain is incorrect. Accordingly, to address these matters, the PDB entry has been updated. These updates do not affect the primary conclusions of the manuscript. Expanded View Fig 4, panel G, which describes a small interface between POLE1 and CDC45, has been updated to reflect a change in the revised model.

All authors agree with this corrigendum.
