ACS Medicinal Chemistry Letters is sending out a call to contribute to a Virtual Special Issue on the use and impact of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) technologies in the realms of medicinal chemistry and small molecule drug discovery.
The industry has seen significant successes and impact with AI/ML technologies in medicinal chemistry and drug discovery, and interest, investment, and application continue to surge. Recognizing the growing influence and crucial role of these technologies, we are devoting a special issue to capture the wide spectrum of advancements and opportunities being made in the field.
ACS Medicinal Chemistry Letters encourages submissions of Letters, Notes, Technical Notes, Microperspectives, and Viewpoints showcasing the discovery, development, and transformation of AI/ML techniques. For submissions in which computational chemistry is a major component of the study, consult the Author Guidelines for more information.
The publication of a series of papers under the various manuscript categories will provide an excellent forum for researchers to share their most important recent findings and offer exceptional exposure of the published articles to the scientific community. The goal of this special issue is to advance knowledge and stimulate new collaborations and research directions.
We encourage all authors and researchers to share their invaluable work, insights, and perspectives on this progressive field, thereby assisting and accelerating the continued growth and progression of AI/ML in medicinal chemistry and drug discovery.
Submit your manuscript via ACS Paragon Plus and select “Exploring the Use of AI/ML Technologies in Medicinal Chemistry and Drug Discovery” from the Special Issue dropdown box. Submissions will undergo the normal peer-review process and, and if accepted, will be published on a rolling basis. Once the Virtual Special Issue is complete, all articles will be publicized as a virtual collection, which will provide additional exposure for the work. The submission deadline is March 31, 2024, and the target completion date for this Virtual Special Issue is May 2024.
Please consider the Author Guidelines before submitting a manuscript. We welcome pre-submission inquiries, which can be sent to eic@medchemlett.acs.org.
We look forward to your valuable contributions.
