Internal phosphate levels were similar when cells were provided with either GPC or P_i. Cells were grown overnight in YNB containing 200 µM P_i. Cells were then reinoculated into phosphate-free YNB containing either 200 µM P_i or 200 µM GPC at an A₆₀₀ of 0.2 and grown to mid-log phase. Cells were then harvested and assayed for acid-labile phosphate. Data represent the mean and standard deviation of biological triplicates. A one-way ANOVA was performed.
