Reason for withdrawal from publication
This review has been withdrawn from 2008 Issue 3 of The Cochrane Library, since we consider that it no longer has relevance for current tobacco control policy and practice. We expect to publish in the near future a comprehensive new review of the effects of bans, restrictive policies and legislation.
The editorial group responsible for this previously published document have withdrawn it from publication.
