Reason for withdrawal from publication
We have withdrawn this review from publication because it is out‐of‐date. It will be updated by two new reviews:
(1) 'Different classes of antibiotics given to women routinely for preventing infection at caesarean section': which is now published in The Cochrane Library; and
(2) 'Different regimens of cephalosporin antibiotic prophylaxis at caesarean section', the review for which is currently being prepared following the protocol first published in Issue 12, 2011, of The Cochrane Library.
The editorial group responsible for this previously published document have withdrawn it from publication.
