The authors noticed two inadvertent errors in representative images showing neuronal TO-PRO3 and SMI-32 neuritic density staining in Figure 8A and NeuN neuronal staining in Figure 8C.

Neurodegenerative Changes in Meox2+/− and F7 Mice

In Figure 8A showing SMI-32 and TO-PRO3 staining, similarities were identified in the representative images for Pdgfrβ+/+ control mice and Meox2+/− mice. This was the result of an error when selecting representative images during manuscript preparation. The representative image shown for the Pdgfrβ+/+ condition is incorrect. We erroneously used a representative image from a Meox2+/− mouse for the Pdgfrβ+/+ image.

In Figure 8C, similarities in representative images of NeuN staining in Pdgfrβ+/+ and Meox2+/+ genotypes were noted. These two genotypes are equivalent “wild-type” control lines maintained on the same mouse background genetic strain (129S1/SvlmJ). Again, selecting similar images occurred unintentionally during manuscript preparation. Of note, these images contain an overlapping image region, but they are representative of the genetic conditions as labeled. Still, for the sake of clarity, we have chosen to update the Pdgfrβ+/+ representative image in Figure 8C with an image from another animal.

The corrected Figure 8 with updated panels 8A and 8C is shown below. Importantly, these errors in the representative images do not affect the data analysis or change scientific conclusions of the paper in any way. The authors apologize for these errors.
