PMCID: PMC10795921  PMID: 37995346

In the above-named article by Biondi B, Celi FS, and McAninch EA (J Clin Endo Metab. 2023; 108(10): 2708-2716; doi: 10.1210/clinem/dgad224), there was an error:

In the section “Potential Options for Treatment” under the subsection “Option 1: Increased Levothyroxine Dosage to Achieve Low-Normal Serum Thyrotropin,” the text “However, 2 double-blind, randomized clinical trials with a crossover design in individuals with primary hypothyroidism showed that a regimen of 3 doses of LT4 to achieve a TSH in the upper, middle, or lower part of the reference range did not produce significant changes in hypothyroid symptoms, well-being, quality of life (37, 38), mood, or cognition (38); however, patients preferred higher LT4 doses despite the lack of objective benefits (38)” has been corrected to read, “However, two double-blind, randomized clinical trials with a crossover design in subjects with primary hypothyroidism showed that a regimen of three doses of LT4 to achieve a TSH in the upper, middle, or lower part of the reference range did not produce significant changes in hypothyroid symptoms, well-being, quality of life (37,38) mood or cognition (38); however, patients preferred the doses they thought were higher (38).”

The article has been corrected online.
