The original article titled “ The outcome of thoracic epidural anesthesia in elderly patients undergoing coronary artery bypass graft surgery” published in Saudi Journal of Anaesthesia, on pages 16-21, Issue 1, Volume 6, 2012,[1] is being retracted because the editors found doubtful/fabricated research data along with certain ethical and data authenticity concerns.
Plagiarism, fabrication, unethical or redundant publication violates the editorial policy of Saudi Journal of Anaesthesia, which follows best practice guidelines given by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) and Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) mentioned on the Information for Authors and as codified in the signed statements made by the authors regarding the copyright of their work.
This article is being retracted on request of the Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board of the journal.
