The authors regret that an error was found in the above article. Incorrect data from two trials was used in the analysis of the effect of exercise therapy in patients with hip OA. Correction of these data change the pooled effect (SMD = Standardized Mean Difference) of exercise therapy on pain and function post-treatment. Also, figure 2, figure 4, figure 6 and figure A and B in the supplement change slightly. Furthermore, the calculation of the sample size of a new trial to change the pooled effect to a clearly clinical worthwhile effect alters. This error had no effect on the conclusions and discussion.

The correct pooled effect of pain post-treatment is SMD -0.40 (95% CI -0.56 to −0.23). The correct pooled effect of function post-treatment is SMD -0.35 (95% CI -0.52 to −0.17). The correct sample size of a new trial to change the pooled effect to a clearly clinical worthwhile effect is 18,481 participants.

The correct figures are as followed:

Fig. 2. Cumulative meta-analysis on pain post-treatment, Footnote: each line represents the number of all participants and the pooled effect of the named study and studies of lines above (cumulative). For example, the line Foley 2003, shows the pooled effect (SMD and 95% CI) and number of participants (N) of the studies: van Baar 1998, Hopman-Rock 2000 and Foley 2003. The bottom line (Thompson 2020) is the pooled effect of all included studies.

For example, the line Foley 2003, shows the pooled effect (SMD and 95% CI) and number of participants (N) of the studies: van Baar 1998, Hopman-Rock 2000 and Foley 2003. The bottom line (Thompson 2020) is the pooled effect of all included studies.
